Charming.....

Today's card is from a set called Charming, it's a set from the previous Holiday Mini- but good news...It's still available!! Sadly, this is the first time I played with it- and I love it!! Here is what the full set looks like:

Item # 116519 For $19.95

I've never used these colors together, but I think I like the colors together- Cameo Coral, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip.
Here it is.............

I stamped the background with 3 of the stamps to make my own Designer paper- not something I typically do, but I think it came out okay. The two images are popped up with Stampin Dimensional.
Supplies:
Card Stock: Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.
Ink: Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Creamy Carmel (used to sponge to look more Vintage)
Accessories: Linen Thread, Rhinestone from the Eggcellent Kit, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Old Olive striped Ribbon, Modern Label punch, Word window Punch, Silver Brads, and Stampin Dimensionals.

Stay tuned for a round of Ribbon share that I'll post details later today.....

5 minute Card!!

Oh my gosh things have been busy today- but good news.....I just put my Stampin Up! order yesterday, yes yesterday around 10am, and I just got it about 30 minutes ago....and I couldn't wait to play with my new stencils....Yep that's right, I purchased the Folk Flowers on page 18 of the mini catalog, as there was a card from Jenny Peterson on the Stampin Connection site that I just had to CASE- but of course I changed it up a bit, but here it is....

The base of the card is Night of Navy, and then I used the textured plate from the Backgrounds 1 set (the polka dots), and the sponged Night of Navy, Old Olive and Rose Red. This card literally took me 5 minutes to make! (okay now honestly does it look like it??) :>

I need to play with it some more, maybe some brighter springy colors, but today, I just picked a few favorite colors as they always look good together. I also love love using this Night of Navy ribbon from the Ribbon Originals on page 182 of the IBC- Elementary for $9.95. Love it!!

Diva Inspiration Challenge #87

I don't typically do challenges, but I saw this one and knew the stamp set I wanted to use. Upsy Daisy- which is in the IBC on page 95 for $18.95. The inspiration picture was the below picture:

And this is what I came up with:

The colors are Crushed Curry and the DS Paper is from the Sweet Pea paper pack in the mini on page 33-$19.95. I stamped the image with white craft ink, and then heat sealed it. I went back and used my watercolor pencils to color in the images, including the white- which I then smeared a bit to give it somewhat of a chalky look (is that a word??). The punches are the modern label punch layered with the word punch in black.
